Did really, really well in school and on my SATsJun 06 2004Genetics
Did really, really well in school and on my SATs. A&M has a waiting list to get in, so you either have to do well on your tests, join the Corps, or fight your way into the Gateway program. A&M has strict guidelines, and unlike many public universities, only allow in the very best people into the university. The ones that got in by mistake are quickly washed out by the courseload.
ACT: 32 SAT: 1410 Male
I was in the top 10% of my graduatingMar 24 2004Psychology
I was in the top 10% of my graduating high school class so I was an automatic admit. If you don't have this luxury...
make good grades but also make sure you are well-rounded. Get involved, do volunteer work, learn who YOU are so you can convey that to someone else. Make sure you have done all of your pre-req course work.
ACT: 29 SAT: 1400 Female

Just went to school. Study hard and eat right.

I was automatically accepted, praise the LordFeb 26 2004Architecture
I was automatically accepted, praise the Lord. If you don't qualify for automatic acceptance, well pray! It's tough. Being really involved in organizations, sports, and community service in high school with help a ton. If you don't get in, A&M accepts an amazing number of transfers. Many of my friends are at Blinn Junior College in College Station and will transfer.
ACT: 29 SAT: 1330 Female
